About Turtle Body Soup

Turtle Body Soup is an educational trading platform dedicated to helping traders learn the CRT + TBS trading strategy through clear rules, practical chart examples and structured learning resources.

Turtle Body Soup is a rule-based trading strategy designed to help traders read price action with more clarity. Traded and studied by 100,000+ traders, Turtle Body Soup focuses on simple market structure, candle behavior, and high-probability entry zones. Instead of depending on random signals or emotional decisions, traders use the Turtle Body Soup framework to wait for cleaner setups and better confirmations. It is especially popular among traders who want a structured way to combine CRT and lower-timeframe entries. For beginners and experienced traders, Turtle Body Soup offers a simple approach to understanding reversals, traps, and market direction.

Founded by AR (Ashik Ruben), Turtle Body Soup was created for traders who want to move away from random entries and understand a more systematic approach to identifying liquidity manipulation, failed breakouts and potential market reversals.

Our objective is simple: make the CRT + TBS framework understandable, repeatable and accessible to traders at different experience levels.

What Is Turtle Body Soup?

Turtle Body Soup, commonly known as TBS, is a price-action entry model designed to identify potential reversals after price moves beyond an important high or low with a candle-body close and then fails to continue in that direction.

This movement may attract breakout traders before price returns inside the previous range. Instead of entering immediately when a level breaks, a Turtle Body Soup trader waits for the breakout to fail and looks for confirmation that the market may be reversing.

A valid setup may involve:

  • A clearly defined previous high or low
  • A candle-body close beyond the reference level
  • Failure to continue in the breakout direction
  • Price returning inside the previous range
  • Bullish or bearish entry confirmation
  • A defined invalidation point
  • A logical profit target

Turtle Body Soup does not attempt to predict every price movement. It gives traders a structured process for evaluating potential trading opportunities.

What Is CRT + TBS?

CRT stands for Candle Range Trap. It provides the higher-timeframe range and market context, while Turtle Body Soup provides the lower-timeframe entry confirmation.

The framework taught by Turtle Body Soup commonly uses:

  • A four-hour CRT candle to define the main trading range
  • The high and low of that candle as important liquidity areas
  • A manipulation of one side of the range
  • A five-minute Turtle Body Soup setup for entry confirmation
  • A predetermined stop loss and profit target

In simple terms, CRT identifies where a potential setup may occur, while TBS helps confirm when a trader may consider an entry.

This combination is known as the CRT + TBS trading strategy.

Why Turtle Body Soup Was Created

Many traders struggle because they constantly switch between indicators, entry models and trading strategies. A losing trade can cause them to abandon one approach and immediately search for another.

Turtle Body Soup was created to encourage a more disciplined process.

Instead of reacting to every candle, traders are taught to wait for specific conditions. Instead of chasing a breakout, they examine whether the breakout has failed. Instead of entering without a plan, they define their risk and potential target before making a decision.

The purpose of the framework is not to remove risk. Risk is always present in financial markets. Its purpose is to help traders approach the market with clearer rules and greater consistency.

Our Educational Approach

We believe trading education should be practical, transparent and easy to follow.

Our learning resources focus on:

  • Understanding candle ranges
  • Identifying important highs and lows
  • Recognising candle-body manipulation
  • Differentiating Turtle Body Soup from Turtle Wick Soup
  • Finding bullish and bearish TBS setups
  • Using the 4H CRT and 5M TBS timeframe combination
  • Planning entries, stop losses and profit targets
  • Avoiding low-quality setups and overtrading
  • Backtesting the strategy before trading live
  • Applying responsible risk management

We also encourage traders to study both winning and losing examples. No strategy should be judged using only successful trades.

Meet the Founder

Turtle Body Soup was founded by AR, also known as Ashik Ruben, the founder of the CRT + TBS educational framework presented on this website.

AR developed Turtle Body Soup as a structured way of explaining candle-body manipulation and failed-breakout confirmation within a higher-timeframe CRT range.

Through educational guides, chart examples, ebooks and video lessons, his goal is to help traders understand the rules behind the framework instead of relying on unclear signals or emotional decision-making.
